All rights matter. Of course
they do. How could they not? How can we talk about freedom of expression if we
don’t talk about the right to live a safe life? How can we feel safe talking
about religion or sexuality if we live in a country without freedom of
expression? I believe all rights should be respected. After all, they’re rights
for a reason.
In a perfect world, there
would be no human rights violations. Unfortunately, we know that’s pretty much
impossible. So, even though all UDHR’s rights are equally important, I think we
should prioritize. As I said before, there are some rights we don’t even think
about if we don’t have others assured. Overall, I believe we should aspire to a
perfect world and do our best to achieve that. We should not waver when we
don’t see results right away.
This fight is a process.
Looking back we can see that we’ve come a long way, but we need to keep going
since there’s still a lot more we can achieve.
